Introduction - My first blog post!
So here it is, my first blog post! I have been putting this off for a while now. I’m not a great writer, nor do I have much time to be blogging, but it’s something I always wanted to try, with the hopes it can bring you lovely people to my little ol’ website. So I decided I will finally get this first post written, even if it’s not perfect - here it is!
About me:
First of all, who am i? There will be a section on my website for this eventually, but for now, I’m just a guy who never grew out of the childhood phase of drawing all the time. Wanting to keep my passion for drawing alive as an adult, with the intention of turning my illustrations and painting into something I can call a career one day (hey we all have a dream right!?). So I decided to start printing and producing my art work into various merchandise that people use, you know the kind, stickers, magnets, keyrings, pins etc..
Without getting too much into an ‘about me’ post ( I’ll save that one for another day ) a quick summary would be that I enjoy all sorts of drawing, especially anything fantasy related. Dragons and fairies, pin up girl illustrations, fan art of video games and movies… pretty much everything else all artists love. I have been working mainly digitally with Photoshop and clip studio for most of the products I am selling, but I do find myself sketching traditionally a lot on my sketchbooks using graphic pencils and even ball point / biro pens.
Sketching some fantasy Harry Potter inspired dragons in my biro / ballpoint pen sketchbook tour video.
So what is my website?
So what is my website?
Well, for now, it’s where I sell my art printed on various merchandice ( more on this below ) but I intend to use it to show off my illustrations, sketches and portfolio for finished work. As well as creating a video library from my YouTube channel. And of course, a blog section for anything related.
The merch:
Here you will find anything I have drawn or painted, printed or crafted into products and merchandise. I am still exploring with my illustrations and have a wide range of topics I draw. For example, I have a popular range of gothic themed skulls printed as stickers ( holographic stickers, regular glossy stickers, gold stickers ) and made into patches ( embroidery patches and even PVC tactical patches ). In contrast to this, I have a whole range of dog breed keyrings, think spaniels, staffordshire bull terriers, cavapoos and many other breeds ( I am always expanding the range ) printed onto double sided acrylic keyrings and pins.
That’s a pretty brief overview as an example (full post coming soon). As well as this, I also sell printed magnets, wooden badges, enamel pins / lapel pins and much more. I’m also working towards prints, I have a few for now, but once I perfect my painting and rendering skills further I want to start selling prints you would expect to find at a comic book convention and artists alley - I’m a bit of a perfectionist though, so they have to be just right!
FYI the dog keyrings make a great gift idea for anyone you know who has keys and a dog… Just sayin’…
YouTube content:
That’s right, like everyone else online, I make YouTube videos! My channel has been around for quite a number of years now and focuses on everything art related, from tutorials on how to use Photoshop for your digital art, time lapse watch me draw style videos, art supplies and reviews ( think different pens, papers, markers etc ) and more recently, lots of art book reviews and flick through videos, because it’s always nice to have a peak inside before you make that purchase.
Anywho, that’s it for now. I hope this first post has intrigued you, and maybe even convinced you to show your support by giving me a follow on your favourite social medias below ( hint hint ). Social media such as Instagram and Facebook are the best places if you just want to see whenever I post some art work.
Thank you for showing your support, even just by reading this.
